ICYMI: I just watched a 28mins interview on YouTube about the NEW TAX REFORM in Nigeria 🇳🇬

And here are my key lessons:

1. Narration does not prevent the payment of tax , It only help you to keep record, in case government come for you.

2. A lot of works is still in place to make sure that, we analyze our income and pay our taxes as legal citizens

3. Only income more than 100M naira/ year will be taxed

4. Not all income more than 100M naira /year will be taxed e.g Agriculture and manufacturers

5. Crypto and dollar earners won’t be taxed if they don’t earn more than 100M per year

6. Crypto earners that earn more than 100M per year will now be able include there losses when calculating for their tax to pay and remove the losses from their earnings

7. The government expect you to come forward, let the government know what you are doing. Then narration will help to keep record of what the money is meant for, while you keep record (receipts) of what you use the money to purchase.
