I never understood why parts of the Solana community dream of $1,000 SOL.
At that price, deploying even a small program would cost around $2,000 — most builders simply wouldn’t be able to deploy anything.
What’s the real benefit of an excessively high token price?
@jacobvcreech The subsidy only covers a portion of the audit cost.
We received $5,000, but to actually use it we still have to pay the much larger remaining amount ourselves.

We’re very grateful to the @SolanaFndn for supporting small teams through the audit subsidy program🙏.
However, the 30% cap makes it nearly unusable in practice.
Our project received a $5K subsidy, but to use it we’d need to pick a $15K audit — paying $10K out of pocket.
Meanwhile, we already have solid offers around $8K.
If a team is granted $5K, why can’t it cover 100% of a smaller audit?

@jacobvcreech@smitske180 Our main go-to-market path is onboarding memecoin communities.
But that’s exactly where we’re struggling — since we’re still unknown, none of the token communities want to integrate with us yet
@0xrwu Our frontend really is harder than our backend — and honestly, it might be one of the most complex frontends in our entire niche.
