This article reminds me why I’m so lucky not to be working in the @BBCNewsnight newsroom any more.
A good journalist does not treat their team badly. Having worked in multiple news rooms I can confirm there is NEVER an excuse for this behaviour

@AyoCaesar There are definitely times in life where various rights compete but I suppose is it an issue of rights competing… or did bafta and the bbc fail to make reasonable adjustments for - disabled person and the black community suffered as a result?
@AyoCaesar I think also there were things that could have been done such as assigning him a support worker of his choice for the event who could straight away help support him explain (and apologise) to other guests.
55 babies might have survived had their mothers received better care at Sussex hospitals.
@hannahsbee on these " fundamental failures in what should be basic protocols ".
@CovidSolidarit1 You’ve left a sarky comment on a post by a freelance journalist (who has no say over editorial agenda) - on an investigation where someone died. If you wanted to persuade me or other journalists reading this to look into your concerns, this really wasn’t the best approach.
I’ve worked on a lot of awful stories in my time as a journalist - but this one really was one of the most heartbreaking.
Chris and Jo’s son Leo died of suicide in 2023. In the run up to his death he had been visiting a suicide website. This is their story …
@CovidSolidarit1 If you are serious about wanting to see a Covid story (rather than just trying to be antagonistic). I’d suggest reaching out to a health journalist
Most news desks and papers have health correspondents and they are very public and pretty easy to find.
It’s been seven months since I submitted my access to work claim with @DWPgovuk and today I was finally supposed to get a call at 11am. It’s now an hour later and still nothing. No wonder we have so many disabled people struggling to stay in work.
absolutely raging at @Debenhams. Ordered on Monday - paid extra for next day delivery for an outfit that I needed for this weekend. Four days later ,hasn't been dispatched. @Debenhams AI customer service refusing to cancel the order ... and there's no way of contacting an actual human
@AdaobiIheme Hi Iheme. I hope you don't mind me sending you a tweet. I wanted to reach out as I'm a journalist and I wanted to have a chat with you about something. Sorry for the cryptic message but would it be ok to send me a DM and I can explain some more? - Lucinda
@alistan50 Would you be open to having a chat with me about your experiences? I’m developing something looking at public transport at the moment so it would be great to chat if you’re vibes?
Still upset by my experience at @gonortheast yesterday. Waited in the queue to get on the bus and as I arrived to the front the queue the driver just closed the doors and drove off… even though it was ahead of the scheduled departure time 1/2
As a journalist I’m currently looking into issues around busses across the country. So if you have had similar problems, or more generally live in an area where poor bus service of any kind is having serious impacts on your daily life - wherever you are, do get in touch
I’ve always been a massive #doctorwho fan and for the most part have enjoyed ncuti’s tenure as the doctor - but this finale was just stale writing, stunts and legacy cameos over strong storytelling. I reckon it may have lost the program a LOT of future viewers
