I’m confused, so let me just make sure I’ve got this right. Ann Widdecombe’s alleged murderer was arrested by counter-terrorism police, but the case is not counter-terrorism related. Nothing was stolen from her house, so it doesn’t appear to have been a burglary gone wrong. Additionally, the suspect in custody is from Rotherham, which is 270 miles away from Ann’s home, so it’s unlikely to have been a local break-in either. Have I missed anything?

Seeing the news about Ann Widdecombe’s death and the murder probe, I can’t shake the feeling that our media ecosystem helped create the conditions for this. When politics becomes two extremes shouting across a void, and the press treats every disagreement like a spectacle, someone out there inevitably feels “inspired” to act.

🚨 IS A COVER UP HAPPENING?

A man brutally murdered a vulnerable elderly 78 year old woman in her own home.

She was left on the floor covered in blood.

We were immediately told the suspect was a white British national this was broadcast nationally.

We were told that it wasn’t a terrorist incident and there’s no links to it being politically motivated.

A “white male” man was arrested, then let free the following day without charge.

The next day we are told there is a new suspect.

Police have announced they have footage of the individual.

Police refuse to give any description of the suspect or any motives.

The police have decided to not release the CCTV.

I don’t care what anyone says, but this absolutely STINKS of a cover up.
