The chief executive of Saskatchewan-based uranium miner Cameco Corp. is encouraging investors to tune out the "noise" from global trade and geopolitical upheaval and instead focus on the strong outlook for nuclear power demand.
"There is no doubt that those distractions have created new and unexpected risks that must be carefully monitored and diligently managed," Tim Gitzel told analysts on a conference call to discuss the company's first-quarter results.

CMOC just released their full-year results and the numbers are impressive, net profit surged 64% to $1.9 billion, and revenue rose 14% to $29.85 billion. Operating cash flow more than doubled to $4.54 billion. Their trading arm, IXM, also had a strong year with a 48% boost in net profit. Most notably, CMOC is now officially among the world’s Top 10 copper producers.

Copper production jumped 55% year-on-year to 650,161 tonnes, the fastest growth in the industry. Cobalt output more than doubled, and they hit new records across niobium, phosphate fertilizer, tungsten, and molybdenum. On the ground, they hit all targets at their TFM mixed ore project and advanced deep exploration at both TFM and KFM.

They also made major ESG strides, maintaining an MSCI ESG AA rating, joining the FTSE4Good Index, and disclosing Scope 3 emissions for the first time. They invested nearly $41 million in community programs and added $26.77 billion in value to the global economy. A landmark year, and one that sets the tone for what’s next.

• tens of thousands left the province plunging us into a multi-year recession
• cost to Alberta was between $50-$100 Billion

Our government is not going to sell out Albertans to another Trudeau export tax on energy. His Dad crushed the lives of thousands in our province…we won’t let his son do it to our people again. Never.
