This young woman, Hafsah Abdur-Rahman, was denied her high school diploma for dancing on stage. Philadelphia High School for Girls should be ashamed of themselves. They humiliated this young woman. For NOTHING.
I will never apologize for being well taken care of by my husband. I won’t water it down, either. It is what it is.
Yes, my husband does pay all the bills and I work part time by choice. And yes, I’m 100% okay with “a large portion of my financial well-being coming from him” I have no fear about it either because he’s handled his business and if he went on to heaven today, he’s set me up to move anywhere in the world I want, and never have to work ever again. It’s not a hard concept, to be honest. Girlies, stop dating men who don’t value marriage and have no intention on providing for their wives. It’s not that it doesn’t exist—it doesn’t exist to the ones you are trying to exist with.
No matter what you do, it will never be good enough for some people. You have to be okay with that and not let it stop you from doing what you love and are called to do.
Something my husband and I do every 6 months is what we like to call a “check in”. We have a face to face conversation to check and see whether or not we are meeting each other’s needs in communication, sex, emotional support, quality time, etc.
