Another inspiration that makes up my art is sometimes identity and being 1st gen Filipino immigrant in Hawai‘I is something I think pride in. One of my fav filipino street food is called an Ilocos empanada.

@WS508746555398 @CM320Class Went to the exhibit at the library that talks about this and I think the Hawaiian sovereignty movement shows a more bigger and fundamental sovereignty for Hawaiians to preserve their culture and land for kanaka and the lāhui.
