@kennyylo@DraisLV Thanks, but I’m a different Lucky Lou. I did production, songwriting, and remixes in the 80s-90s, but I’m not that DJ. Should be a fun night though.
@WaHouseGOP@espn The tax is a small % on income above $1M. Anyone who makes that kind of money can afford to pay their share. It’s not a burden on anyone, especially since we don’t have a general state income tax at all. It’s had net positive effect in states where this has already been enacted.
Promise this isn’t a shill. But I do think @beehiiv should partner with us to reach early-stage founders around the world. That’s me dropping my SoundCloud link 🤓
Damn - @beehiiv’s new product announcements just set them so far beyond so many competitors, I almost feel sorry for them. Well done, @denk_tweets and team!
I don’t know what’s happened to @unsplash but basic searches are yielding absolutely terrible results. Just a couple weeks ago it was fine. Are they tanking results to get more iStock traffic? So weird.
Next, @UberEats spot with @officialcera also promotes using their app to deceive people.
They and Apple both feature an insecure protagonist comforting themselves by using product features to deceive, effectively promoting dishonesty.
What’s the cultural shit producing this?
So far every spot I’ve seen from @apple’s new #iPhone campaign starring @BellaRamsey essentially promotes using #AppleIntelligence to lie, ending with the most bizarre “fooled them” looks directly at the camera. Is that a great strategy to dispel concerns about the threat of #AI?
Awesome reporting on the social team at the incredibly effective @KamalaHarris campaign who are both creating and leveraging the momentum around her candidacy. Always good to read a “how they’re doing what you’ve been liking” story.

Leave it to @NBCOlympics to make its hosts annoyingly talk over the #Paris2024#ceremoniedouverture
Interrupting the performances with oohs and aahs and chit chat is driving me up the wall.
Just let us watch these amazingly executed performances and the parade of athletes. Gah!
Very surprised that the long-memed phrase, “Jump the Shark,” has no results from the actual Happy Days episode from which it was born in the in-app GIF tool on X and Instagram. Lots of actual shark GIFs and some of The Fonz, but no shark-jumping motorcycle GIFs.
My #web3/#NFT artist self was honored today by an uncontested legend in the space, @GabrielJWeis. Truly amazing.
He’s such a great example of a true creative professional, one who’s authentically engaged with his community.
See link in replies to buy this piece for <$25.
Happy Friday! Today my fellow Stoics, we celebrate @luckylou_art! Make sure if you are a Stoic holder you get your free mint from 9am to 12pm EST every day in July! I like celebrating good people like Luis!
@brianne2k Thanks - I was just thinking about you yesterday, hoping you’re doing well. I keep having meetings during PopChat but my heart’s still there. Have an awesome maternity break ❤️
@ItsKennyatta @MosheIsaacian Also, it’s quite the setup for disappointment. Like unless you’re spending $$$ your Airbnb is pretty mid to meh. I can rarely find an Airbnb in my price range that I actually want to stay in.
Glitch in #ApplePay on @eventbrite shows proposed charge at every buying stage including final purchase (pics 1-3) but actually charges more once purchased (pic 4).
I know Eventbrite has service charges so I tried to find them before buying, but nope. 29¢ nbd, just had to share.
@MosheIsaacian @ItsKennyatta I tend to applaud a brand statement move especially when it’s creative (not saying this is) and absurd/impractical. A great expression can shortcut directly to the right audience.
OR, a brand can appear out of touch/foolish/dismissive, especially when ignoring unresolved issues.
