Mr. Lattimore, it has been, and always been, at least since the late 1920s, the Arabs who have insisted on the ethnic cleansing of the land of Israel. The problem for the Arabs is that they keep starting wars of annihilation, and then losing those wars. Israel will not accepts its own annihilation, and those who insist that it should are indeed anti-Semitic. Just read some of the posts on this site. Some of these posts reek of the worst kind of genocidal anti-Semitism. If you are to have any understanding of the current conflict at all, you must begin with that fact. Have you listened to the comments by spokesmen for Hamas, or for Iran for that matter? A two-state solution is NOT on their agenda, and Israel must respond accordingly.
