On the 12th day of Christmas, Kings College gave to me
12 lovely nurses
11 months of pain
10 ignored fractures
9 failed blood tests
8 unanswered emails
7 poor excuses
6 clueless doctors
PTSD
4 spilled bed pans
3 hot wards
2 giant scars
And a bad case of e coli
@MoorgateMermaid@CliveKay@KingsCollegeNHS@NHSEnglandMedia@BBCMaryam@rubyhinchliffe And in a further twist, my blood results from my last few days as an inpatient have mysteriously just appeared on the mychart app, and they are abnormal and show I was at risk of developing a blood clot, and I was discharged with no anticoagulants and subsequently developed DVT
@CliveKay I have been waiting over 6 months for a response to a formal complaint I made. The treatment I received at King's was appalling. I was sent home after 5 weeks as inpatient with potentially fatal injuries left untreated, and I would like some answers.
@MoorgateMermaid@CliveKay@KingsCollegeNHS Clive Kay has not responded, Kings asked me to send a DM but I can't do so without paying for a premium subscription. I spoke to them by phone again today and they are unable to give any kind of time frame in which I can expect a response.
@MoorgateMermaid@CliveKay@KingsCollegeNHS We had to use our savings and withdraw money we had put into stocks and shares for pension provision in order to pay for private surgery. The surgeon was shocked at the state of my chest, and said he was amazed I had survived.
@MoorgateMermaid@CliveKay@KingsCollegeNHS I'm still waiting for a response, over 6 months after submitting my formal complaint. I had to pay for private treatment after Kings completely ignored the fact that my entire right sided posterior chest wall had completely collapsed into my chest cavity.
@KingsCollegeNHS@CliveKay I tried to DM you but can't do so without paying for a premium subscription. If you mention my name to the head of complaints she is aware of the case. I received acknowledgement of my formal complaint on 12/06/2024, but still have no response.

@thirtyoneeight I think the recommendations on the guidance were mostly good and my concern would be that we would be left with something worse if the guidance was scrapped.
@thirtyoneeight Thanks for clarifying. The points you make are reasonable, however the statement goes beyond this and asks for other things, including promoting a non Biblical, non scientific view of sex and gender.
@UKGap I ordered & paid extra for express delivery. I needed button tops for my daughter who is having surgery & will have a big head bandage & not be able to wear her usual tshirts. You aren't delivering in the time stated & I've been told there's nothing you can do. Appalling!
All Lucy wanted for Christmas was a cochlear implant for her five-year-old daughter, Martha.
As Martha only needs a cochlear implant on one side and a bone conduction implant on the other, the procedure payment can take a long time to be signed off by the NHS.
