@radi0lover My sister in laws mom was diagnosed with lung cancer at 87. Doctors said sheโd have to quit smoking in order to get treatment. She laughed and told them sheโd been smoking since she was 12 and had no plans to stop. Still smokes and has 2 or 3 glasses of wine every afternoon.
@DailyMail Doctor explained it like chicken pox. Most of us in this age group have been exposed to hpv, but just like only a few get shingles from chicken pox - only a few get hpv related cancer. It sits dormant for decades before reappearing.
@DailyMail Going through round two of this with my husband now.
First was 13 years ago.
Hpv.
Itโs curable but the aftermath of treatment is often brutal.
@RogerMarlowe@Mr_Husky1 I forgot about this one when I replied earlier. When discussing privates, our youngest of four boys, got the male genitalia correct but claimed his mommy had a โchinaโ. lol.
@ColdTrailFiles@Mr_Husky1 We also say merote. Youngest of four said it once and it took off. Everyone is grown now but we still call it a merote.
A Hammer hammer Lincoln.
Same child was asking about Abraham Lincoln on a five dollar bill. So we refer to fives as Hammer hammer Lincolns. Lol.
@Mr_Husky1 My husband was the biggest dude at the gym. Always helping people especially kids. Then he got cancer. Went from 235 to 98 pounds. Almost died. He was still weak when he returned to gym. Kids start videoing him and posting videos on their socials saying
โOur hero is back.โ
