@SketchesbyBoze I prefer reading The Dark is Rising in the depths of winter... it's great to read Over Sea Under Stone in summer time - somehow for me, feeling the seasons of these books is important! Hope you enjoy the whole series!
@alice_emily Flip flops as the hospital is too warm for slippers and little bags with newborn outfits ready - vest, sleepsuit and hat so that you have lots of changes ready. I was not prepared for the post c-section mucus spews and had to change my wee one about 6x the first night!
@jimsyjampots Think about when you get home - do you have a changing table? We didn't but had emerg c-section and had to buy 1 as couldn't do nappies on floor or bed. Also put little bath on a table as couldn't bend for that. Take recovery v slowly but a short walk each day helps! All the best!
@JenaFriedman Two words: nipple shields - don't be afraid to use them - ignore anyone who tells you not to - but stop using them you are healed up again and less sore. Solidarity
@clhubes Maybe it's just Scotland but people always look at me funny when I talk to my little boy when we are in shops and generally out and about - as if "who are you talking to?!!" Ehh my son - who is also a human being????
I was recently asked what would happen if I used the same equipment I shot planets with to shoot our moon.
Well, this: A 562 megapixel image, featuring one of the most detailed looks at the craters of our moon I've ever done. Zoom in to your heart's content.
@EmilyMandel I loved those books as a child and also loved Alan Garner as others have noted. Also recommend Robin Jarvis - the Wyrd Museum trilogy and the Deptford Mice books. Might be a bit old for him but I also loved the Tales of the Otori by Lian Hearn
