Stop using mental illness as a scapegoat to avoid talking about the fact a vast majority of these shooters are young white men. Many of these shooters are white nationalists like the one in Buffalo and many are patriarchal like the one in Tallahassee ‘18 & Isla Vista ‘14
we need more accessible mental health resources for children. this pandemic and mass shootings have caused so much anxiety for them. I worked in the Psych ED for the last two days because of an influx of pediatric patients that have been admitted for suicidal ideation.
The Buffalo mass shooting was 10 days ago.
There have been 14 mass shootings in America between that tragedy and this one.

I want to take a moment to remember the lives lost in the tragedy at Oxford. We should should remember their names & faces, not of the culprit - this is their story.
These tragedies need to end. We cannot continue to allow this to be our everyday normal as it’s already becoming.
after yet another school shooting, here’s a reminder of the importance of #NoNotoriety - do not give killers fame. remember the victims, not the shooters.
A student at Oxford High School just said on national television: "We all had scissors in case we needed to attack."
Our children should be thinking about geometry—not how to survive an active shooting. This must stop.
