they did so many aspects well in this movie, but i truly love the way they showed peter missing ned. like how important their friendship is and how much peter longs to have that back. plus ned being so invested in spiderman without knowing
That spider documentary playing in his apartment, narrated by Keith David, isn’t just background noise, it’s literally the movie explaining itself. E.V. straight up says the longer Peter stays isolated, the more he loses what makes him human.
I think that’s the smartest thing this film does, it’s not really about a villain threatening him, it’s about loneliness slowly turning him into something less than himself. The scariest part of this movie isn’t Hulk or the Punisher, it’s watching someone quietly disappear into isolation and not even notice it’s happening to them
