@tslumley Other chains may not do this but I know that specsavers does and this was the reason they gave. There are also labs that cut lenses down and fits them into frames in NZ. Unusual that yours were sent to Australia. (Btw am ex-optometrist)
@tslumley That's likely because you went to specsavers. They do this because of economies of scale. A lot of independent optometrists 'make' glasses in NZ. Stock lenses (lenses that have not been cut to fit your frame) may be from overseas though.
