I make paintings, music, papercuts, embroidery, costumes. Stuff. (I also do bi activism & was a Guider till toddler & Covid shut that down.) She/her, #BwiththeT
Year 1 & 2 at Old Church Primary have really enjoyed creating these ‘London landmarks’ this week, with all 120 kids joining in over the four days. I love everything about these. Special. 😊

@Bonzetta1 Hello! I’ll be at your workshop this Sunday (really looking forward to it!). I assume o should bring a sketchbook etc but is there anything specific you suggest?
@makesmilk My son is just over three and a lot of this resonates for me. I was lucky he was born before lockdown, but a lot of maternity leave, early support and so on was massively affected.
@UrsulaV Hah, my one of these is Japanese. I did manage to let the Tokyo house-hunt agency know that they were sending appointments to the wrong person. But the clothing boutique newsletters etc just keep coming.
@Handsome_Frank I loved this one, the warm greens of the moss were so comforting to paint. Then you have the shifting grain of riso which perfectly encapsulates a memory of a cloudy day in Scotland. Art ey, who knew.
@HannahLPeck This 2015 April Fool seems to be misleading some people despite the disclaimer… (photo from children’s book from library, details not shared to save author from embarrassment but happy to put in DM!). https://t.co/NcvcCbeoKj
@ADHDdesigner Unfortunately, it’s my own hair. Just a certain bit of it, when in particular moods, but if it’s not pulled into a hairband Just Right I can spend FOREVER pulling and fidgeting with it. 😒
@AdamJFarrer Aged about 7, I was supposed to be “Mamma in her kerchief” in The Night Before Christmas. Then I did something bad, possibly, I don’t know what, and was demoted to one of the 8 reindeer. I have not forgotten this in 33 years.
@DisabledJess @MediocreDave@Chican3ry It is bizarre. There’s whole stacks of classic kids’ lit where the parents inc mothers are absent (lack of parents = easier for child characters to have adventures/mild peril), are all of those erasing mothers too? Not all stories or characters have to be the same. 😩
@svershbow My son has my last name and my husband made my last name his middle name (he didn’t have one before), keeping his own surname. So we all share my surname somewhere in our names! Our families haven’t quite grasped it but it’s all good :)
I did another "why deaf people don't hear like hearing people" training today.
I keep wondering if I could do an online one mainly aimed at deaf/HOH people and raise enough money from tickets (on a sliding scale) to cover BSL/STTR + £ for my time.
Would folk be interested?
