For the love of all that is holy, will @TheGreenParty members who did not experience the establishment onslaught against Corbyn between 2015-2019 please talk to those of us that did, to understand what is going on? Of course they are going to come after @ZackPolanski . Of course they are going to find any wedge point they can and force it wide open, publicly, to create the impression that the party is fighting each other. Don't help them.
If you don't believe us, please also look at what the French establishment has been doing to Melenchon and LFI for the past 10 years (although he is finally winning the argument and stands a good chance of being President after May 2027).
Anyone challenging the status quo will be subjected to this. Internal solidarity is the only thing that will win.
If you are someone who WAS subjected to attacks in the Corbyn era and are now criticising members you consider to be "impure" ffs, STFU. Do you not see you are being dragged into this quite deliberately to destroy the Greens?

In December 1948, Albert Einstein and other Jewish intellectuals warned Americans that Menachem Begin’s party was built on terrorism and fascism.

On December 4, 1948, the New York Times published a letter signed by Einstein, Hannah Arendt, Sidney Hook, and more than two dozen others. It was written as Begin, former leader of the Irgun, toured the United States to raise support for his new Freedom Party (Tnuat Haherut / Herut).

The letter said the party was “closely akin in its organisation, methods, political philosophy and social appeal to the Nazi and Fascist parties.” It described the Irgun as “a terrorist, right-wing, chauvinist organisation” and said the movement preached “an admixture of ultra-nationalism, religious mysticism, and racial superiority.” Terrorism against Jews, Arabs, and the British, the signers wrote, was a means; a “leader state” was the goal.

They specifically pointed to the April 1948 attack on Deir Yassin, where Irgun and Lehi forces killed large numbers of Palestinian villagers, as an example of the methods the party carried into politics. The letter urged Americans not to be misled by Begin’s visit or by post-independence talk of freedom and democracy.

Begin’s party later became a core of Likud. The warning Einstein signed was not about some fringe faction. It was about the political lineage that still shapes Israeli policy toward Palestinians.

Having made Ep 2 of the Labour Files I thought nothing could shock me but the crudeness of the media’s attempts to Corbyn Polanski is truly breathtaking.

Let’s apply what might be called journalism to this Observer piece.

Firstly – the headline claim – “membership plummets”. Apparently one local party (unnamed) has seen a two-point drop in membership since the Zionism is racism motion was passed. IF replicated nationally this would mean 4,400 people - less than 2% of the membership.

You’ll not be startled to learn the Observer entirely omits one key stat from the Opinium poll, which can be found online. “Over half (56%) of current Green voters think the Green Party were right the pass the motion, while only 13% said they were wrong.”

Most of the other stats involve comparisons with the unprecedented highs Polanski took the Greens to in the spring. At 9% the Greens are simply back to where they were the day Polanski became leader.

Polanski has transformed the Green Party – quadrupling its membership to almost quarter of a million and placing it in a position where it was able to pressure the Labour Party into removing a sitting prime minister – a level of influence Green Party leaders of the past could only dream of.

Polanski is being subjected to this level of vitriol precisely because he represents a threat in a way Caroline Lucas never did.

Green voters and members now face a simple test. Do they trust their own eyes and ears – or do they do what the BBC, the Guardian and the Observer tell them to do.

Since they did this to Corbyn tens of thousands of Palestinian children have been slaughtered. It has transformed the way potential Green voters see the world. In many cases that is why they have become Green voters.

Today I spoke to Matthew Wright on @lbc about how Zack has transformed the Green Party into an electoral force that is pushing Labour hard in some of its safest seats. We tripled our vote share whilst Labour's fell but it also says a lot that we are disappointed because that's the level of our ambition.

Losing any election is disappointing and more so now because Zack has given us a winning mindset but look how far the green party has come in 12 months under his leadership. It's remarkable and as Andy Burnham collides with reality our green ascendancy will continue.

1.I write as a British citizen and a television licence payer to complain about an interview broadcast on BBC Radio 4, on the Today programme, on the morning of 9 October 2026. The interviewer was Nick Robinson. The guest was Zack Polanski, leader of the Green Party of England and Wales.

2. I do not know Mr Polanski. I am not a member of the Green Party, nor of any other political party.
3. I specialise in political communications. I hold a PhD from SOAS, University of London and have been a researcher and lecturer for 25 years in England.

4.I am a Nakba Survivor (there are three categories of Palestinians created following the 1948 (Catastrophe) Nakba: a. Nakba victims (those who were slaughtered by Jewish Terrorist Organisations). B. Nakba Refugees (those expelled as part of the ethnic Cleansing from Palestine and c. Nakba Survivors (those who miraculously remained in their homeland) and was born in Jaffa into an Arab Palestinian Christian family under Israeli occupation, Military Rule, and Emergency Regulations inherited from the British Occupation/Mandate over Palestine.

Actually, the United States used white phosphorus in Fallujah, Iraq and Deir az-Zor, Syria - and was accused of using it in Afghanistan, (to U.S. denials, naturally) causing harm to civilians in all 3 places.

That doesn’t detract from Israel’s use of it; it merely reinforces the idea that the two states have one mentality when it comes to killing, destruction & violence.
