Nigel Farage is getting desperate. My @MirrorPolitics column on how the shine is really coming off Reform; making the changes in the Employment Rights Act a reality; the World Cup kicking off; and my theatre appearance this week👇🏻

Reform is importing populist tactics which have undermined democracy elsewhere to here, fuelling online mis and disinformation, conspiracies and murky crypto donations. We need tougher action. My latest in the Guardian 👇

Lots of important by-elections happening in London and across the country - as well as THAT one. I know how hard labour activists worked in the recent elections but please do come out and help if you can.
The scenes this evening in Portswood are completely unacceptable.
The Nowak family made a powerful call to us all yesterday to not let Henry’s death be used to create further division, hatred or tension.
There can be no justification for hijacking this tragedy to stir up violence and disorder. Those responsible can expect to face the full force of the law.
I thank the police who have tonight shown great bravery and calm in the face of disgraceful violence directed at them.
Not another one… Despite voters going to the polls just weeks ago, a number of Green councillors across London have already stood down - meaning costly, unnecessary by-elections. Tonight I’ve been with @ClaphamParkLab candidate Louie Somerville Sutherland and team speaking to residents about how committed he is to the area for a by-election on 9th July.
1/ NEW: The net zero economy is now supporting:
✅Over 1m jobs
✅£105bn in GVA
✅22,000 small businesses
This analysis from @CBItweets is a reminder that net zero is a great British success story. And exactly why this Government is doubling down.

Fantastic rally and turnout from @labourunionsuk in Makerfield today for @AndyBurnhamGM. The response from the movement has been immense and means we have knocked on every door - almost twice now!
Thanks @JoanneGSUsdaw, @AndreaEganGS and @musiciansunion & all the unions for attending.
A very sunny visit to the award winning @MayfieldMCR yesterday.
The team have done a brilliant job transforming the area which is absolutely thriving.
It was great to hear about future plans for the park, depot and surrounding area. With a new coffee shop coming soon, alongside pedestrianisation to improve access.
We even popped into the Stones and Silva.
Really very sad to hear that Meta Ramsay has passed away. Meta was a remarkable woman, who led an extraordinary life, but throughout remained humble and gracious. She always gave the very best advice and particularly supported women in politics and parliament. RIP
Baroness Meta Ramsay was a true servant of the people, of Parliament and, above all, of the country. She gave her life to public service and carried her responsibilities with grace, dry humour and distinction. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. RIP.
To beat Reform in Makerfield we’ve all got to come together as one Labour team with our best available players. Speaking to @MirrorPolitics about what’s at stake in this by-election 👇🏻 https://t.co/VaOu0wtZNp
