@SkyNews I work for a charity offering free counselling for parents of new babies/young children who are suffering with their mental health. COVID more than doubled our waiting lists. Perinatal mental health plummeted since 2020. Mine certainly did, entering lockdown with a 5 month old.
@RebeccaCNReid It was essential for us, just at the top. Just meant I could relax while kiddo toddled about if I needed a wee or wanted to do a small job. We got a v sturdy one and he never once attempted to climb it.
@NHSEngland If the government paid nurses properly and stopped funding their mates' holiday homes, maybe they wouldn't be leaving in droves. And you'd not need to desperately try to attract more...
@sianllewellyn17@JoRachs@mlalanda@dyskochick@the_female_lead Thank you. I am very well now, I luckily could afford counselling and having my son has been healing. It's great that you want to know more about women's real experiences and are so willing to have your preconceptions challenged. π
@sianllewellyn17@JoRachs@mlalanda@dyskochick@the_female_lead My miscarriage at 10.5 weeks (3 yrs ago) was more traumatic than the birth of my living child. I bled more, the pain was comparable to mid-labour and the interventions/medical contact I had left me with PTSD. Then there was the grief... I still have physical impacts today.
@marisajbate First night away from the baby in lavish hotel was booked for next week... Not happening nowπ (In all seriousness we're very lucky, and in the face of things this problem is insignificant!)
Just catching up with a colleague (via Zoom obvs) and was telling her about the fact that @anotherpiercer and I had The Sims soundtrack playing at our wedding as 'ambient background music'. Little joys π #buildmode
