Hundreds of thousands of worshippers flood the heart of Paris as Pope Leo XIV celebrates a massive open-air Mass and calls on Catholics to openly share their faith in an "increasingly secularized society."
The Vatican estimates 800,000 people packed the Champs-Élysées and Place de la Concorde, with families lifting children toward the popemobile as the American pope traveled through the French capital.
The setting carries deep history: Place de la Concorde was an execution ground during the French Revolution, where King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette were guillotined.
The enormous gathering comes as France sees a surge in adult conversions, with annual adult baptisms reportedly tripling since 2016 to 13,000 this year.

@X_Global_tv If this figure is accurate, it suggests that many Americans are tired of endless political infighting and would much rather see the government actually solve problems
@RepThomasMassie When a political party demands that you always obey and never question, that is no longer political participation it is a demand for loyalty
@mattvanswol What really matters is what the full facts are; we must neither downplay violence because of someone’s status nor rush to conclusions when the evidence is incomplete
"Barack Obama just said if you put women in charge of every government for two years, things would be better."
Trump: "I love women, I think they're great, but what a ridiculous statement that is." 😭
Lately, I’ve been appreciating this kind of simple life more and more having time to stay active, enjoy the view, and bring my attention back to myself
@SpeakerPelosi The fact that she is still held in such high regard by so many people at the age of 90 is, in itself, the greatest recognition of her many years of public service
Policies are open to debate, and laws should be enforced, but no matter which side you’re on, real deaths and violence should never be treated as political fodder
Never forget these morally bankrupt people will cry foul and wring their hands in fake outrage for illegal aliens all while applauding and leering in grotesque joy over the assassination of American patriots.
@CAgovernor It’s always better to prepare in advance than to try to fix things after a disaster strikes. In the face of extreme weather, the government’s most important task is to prioritize preventive measures
@JDVance To push through your own policies, you must first win enough seats in Congress. In politics, what ultimately matters is the ability to get things done and the election results
@CNN The media can report on public opinion, but they shouldn't present opinion polls as the final answer. What really matters is what the United States has given and what it has received in return
