CONTROL RESONANT is now Universal acclaim by metacritic user. It did hit that score Day 1 but of course there was huge pull of review bomb.

Such deviation between User score and Critics shows how hard critics were reviewing the game. They didn't want this game to score well, so big IPs like RE9, GTA gets their way paved for the GOTY.

CONTROL RESONANT is way above pay grade of a game for many critics. It just not mid 80s game.

GTA 6 can have all the details in the world but 'Detail' is always proportioned to scope + time + budget. A game like that is never in the same ballpark of a truly effortless artistic visionary and visual identity of Control.
