HS XC Runners:
Want to have a great fall cross country season? Just run every day your coach assigns and do the assignment.
If you think you need the world's greatest summer of training, that's not true.
Consistency really is key, and this sport really is that simple.
I asked Ben Humrichous - a former NAIA player who just competed in the Final Four - if he has an appreciation for that unlikely journey.
I was moved by his answer.
"When the buzzer sounded all I wanted to say was praise God - for the gift that this was... By God's grace... It's unlikely... God's sovereign hand being that in that... He did so many incredible things... God's grace just supplied what I need."

“Clap your hands, all peoples!
Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
For the Lord, the Most High, is to be feared,
a great king over all the earth.” Psalm 47:1–2
O peoples, fear not finding the King of all the earth to be your joy.
You can’t blame Caleb Williams for the INT in OT….. the Bears have the absolute perfect play called
The lack of effort by #2 is really telling….you can’t give up on this route like this. #DaBears
