Today, once again, COSOMA have proved that they dont really care about the artists and their hard work in this country . We were supposed to hold a meeting with the CEO last week concerning the outburst cries of the artists regarding the Blank Levy Loyalties distribution, but the meeting was rescheduled to today.
Today, I showed up with my friend Kelvin Sulugwe, my lawyer, a team from Madness Entertainment and members from media houses but we were told that the CEO, whom we were supposed to hold a meeting with, was not around. COSOMA stuff could not even bother to notify us that the meeting would no longer take place. They let us travel all the way there. Tell me if this is not an insult direct to our faces.
As promised, we will continue to pin them down until they open up about the criteria that they use to distribute the loyalties. I know this is not only going to benefit Jaa Kev and Madness Entertainment artists, but also hundreds of other young artists who put in work day and night , dreaming to earn a living out of their sweat. If they use guesswork, or they simply have their favourite artists atiuzenso.
Again, at Madness Entertainment, we have one of the biggest artists in the country who has been on top of his game for two consecutive years, only to earn less than a million kwacha of loyalties from COSOMA. I swear this is far from be over. We will continue to follow up consistently on this matter until they transparently tell us the criteria that are used to distribute these loyalties.
Malawi pulled off one of the biggest shocks in Women’s Africa Cup of Nations history as the debutants beat ten-time champions Nigeria 3-2 in their Group C opener 😮💨
Malawian shoemaker Chimwemwe Mwenyemasi has signed a distribution deal with South African retail chain PEP, paving the way for his footwear to be sold across Africa. 👞🇲🇼
He was reportedly offered a work permit in South Africa but chose to operate from Malawi to create local jobs and earn foreign currency.
