🆕 New data on the environmental impacts of food.

For a long time we've had environmental footprints of food commodities on @OurWorldInData: beef, wheat, rice, etc.

I've added lots of new data on specific food products: bread, burgers, pasta, etc.

Good and #DecentWork work must be at the heart of any sustainable food future.

This vision for #GoodFoodWork emerged from our international forum in May 2021, where ~40 scholar-activists coalesced around a principled vision and actions to advance it.

There’s always a lot of debate whether #organicagriculture could feed the world. A key criticism is that as organic prohibits synth. N fertilizers, organic expansion would be limited by N availability. In a new paper led by @barbieri_pie we examine this qst for 1st time for 🌏
