When I was a child, the members of my extended family were devout Catholics, we its children and grandchildren do not. My grandmother went to her parish priest and asked to be excluded from conjugal visits from her husband. She had 8 kids. The church gave permission. On Christmas eve all the grownups in our extended family went to the Midnight Mass. Afterward we celebrated a Reveillon, ie. A big party with tourtière and bùche de Noel. Most of these traditions are dead now. Think on that when you seek to deny praying in the streets for Muslims
