[Evangel @Gelinecare]

Have I told you guys that I employed an OS early this year?

Everyone around my shop knew she was an OS except me.🤣😂🤣

@dumbMstake @Babajiide my mantra: only listen to people that have done what you want to achieve

Take advice from people who have not done what you want to achieve with a grain of salt

@kenny_io sent you a DM

@adriankuleszo @LynelDesign @yourpersona because the company is an enabler and the founders are cut from the same cloth.

[Luigi Morel @luigimorel_]

@margentambi which is why is laugh when "victims" are always crying "less than 1% of VC money came to Africa"

[Luigi Morel @luigimorel_]

or founders should learn how to be accountable. taking money from anyone (investors, employers) means you owe them updates about how their money is spent.

[Lalit Kundu @lalitkundu_lk]

Founders, avoid $5k checks from angels like the plague

life has no manual.

I'm 26.

I deeply regret spending so much of my younger years playing games and watching anime.

The freshest, most youthful days of my life wasted away.

If you're 20, please lock in.
It only gets harder as you age...

i feel like careers built over a long period of times are not a thing of the past.

everything just feels so ephemeral at the moment.

[Nia 🪩 @_johnsonator]

i hate being a “late-bloomer”.

i wish i had a perfect, aligned career like everyone else.

i might have grays, wrinkles, and weight gain when i finally make it and that isn’t what i wanted.

[Luigi Morel @luigimorel_]

@tanayrajoria can we strike a compromise in regard to the onsite term or its a non negotiable?

[Luigi Morel @luigimorel_]

@jaredzel @kareeening hey!

can we talk more about eh person you're looking for?

I'm more of a product and fullstack engineer who deeply cares about both eng and product quality

by knowing what you're checking for in the first place and not blindly using AI as your main fallback.

[Lucas @lucas_builds]

Asking Claude to review your code is a slot machine.

Every review finds brand new bugs. Review again: more. Review a tenth time: it still finds something.

It never runs out of bugs to find... so how do you decide your code is actually done?

Never ask a VC what their moat is.

[Luigi Morel @luigimorel_]

@nikitabier Domain expertise paired with fullstack product expertise will always be the moat

No way around it.

But somehow, we expect people foreign to us to trust us (even when we can't trust ourselves) and give us their money.

[Luigi Morel @luigimorel_]

I think capital deployment should hinge on evidence and results.

IMO, asking for capital because "I'm African" is the wrong way to go about the whole operation.

Heck, even us as Africans (expect the outliers) are not actually investing in our the startups by our cronies.

[Eunice Ajim @euniceajim]

Africa has 17% of the world's population but attracts <1% of global venture capital.

Global capital keeps misjudging Africa.

Which is precisely why Ajim Capital is raising a $20M fund to invest in African startups.
