A sublime new exhibition @britishlibrary on the #SilkRoadOasis Dunhuang & the Mogao caves. Extraordinary treasures from the famous Cave 17 which was home to 70,000 manuscripts and more written information about medieval Asia (and beyond) than any site in the world.
We are pleased to announce the @britishlibrary exhibition A Silk Road Oasis: Life in Ancient Dunhuang, opening 27 September.
The show will explore the stories of the people who inhabited or passed through this oasis town in the first millennium.
