This is NOT an MVP debate. The MVP voting is silly and slanted at times. This is just an observation:
A center just finished the season as the NBA leader in assists and rebound average (1st time ever) and 7th in scoring.
A center did that.
A center.
Shohei Ohtani, man.
The biggest name in the sport. Coming to the plate with a chance to do something incredible on the night of his own MVP Bobblehead giveaway.
Entire crowd stands as one hoping to see something memorable.
First pitch. Bang. Legend.
