It was very difficult to cross the aortic valve with the prosthesis, even after a 26mm predilatation balloon. We only succeeded with a Lunderquist buddy-wire, but the final result was excellent!
An 92-year-old male with type 1 bicuspid aortic stenosis, severe calcification (calcium score 11,000!) and a VERY large annulus (848 mm² / 33 mm). The best solution was a Myval Octacor XL 32mm @marcocostacard@ElisabeteJorge3#cardioCHUC#UNICchuc
