@AlexiLalas thoughts? Are we in trouble? Seems like Mexican government and their domestic league are tired of being mediocre. Do you think USA soccer and our government will do something similar?
🚨🤯 NEW: The Mexican Government and Liga MX will create 2,000 NEW ACADEMIES across the country, with the goal of finding new talents like Gilberto Mora.
They also plan to FURTHER EXPAND scouting efforts across the United States. 🇺🇸👏🏼

There is no way to spin it:
The US in the World Cup in primetime did better TV numbers than any other sporting event outside of the biggest NFL games.
Soccer is much more popular in this country than many people think.
The interesting thing is that a Colombian would never turn his back on La Sele 🇨🇴 after a similar result. So I’ll apply the same logic to our USMNT boys. We’ll be back we’ll be stronger and I’ll always be here to support them 🇺🇸 just like I’ll be there for 🇨🇴
(LONG RANT)
Enough time has passed 🇺🇸🇧🇪
This was all we could come up with? A round of 16 exit? In our own World Cup? With our “Golden Generation?”
This result was 8 YEARS in the making and this was all we could achieve? We had time following the disaster in Couva to get ready for this World Cup. Since then, the USMNT was involved in
>4 Gold Cups
>1 Copa America
> 1 World Cup (Qatar)
>4 Nation’s Leagues
We had AMPLE chances to build a roster and challenge our players.
There’s so much to unpack but it has been nothing but INCOMPETENCE from USSF and everyone associated with the USMNT. GGG for 5-6 years despite POOR AND INCONSISTENT RESULTS. Pochettino for not even 2 years.
We have had FOUR interim coaches during the 8-year period spanning nearly 2 years: Sarachan (12 Months), Hudson (4 Months), BJ (4 Months), Varas (2 Months). We wasted immense time “in search” for a coach. Just to rehire GGG again.
The USMNT had the support they needed. From paying fans like myself who make the effort to TRAVEL to the games. I went to a majority of the USMNT’s games because I had HOPE for this team. Despite their Netherlands humiliation in the World Cup and the embarrassing Copa America exit, I still had hope.
MILLIONS OF AMERICANS showed up to this World Cup to support the USMNT in numbers we have never seen before. PACKED stadiums. PACKED cities from Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco. CROWDED Fanfests and Town Squares! MILLIONS tuning in at home. ALL EYES ON US 🇺🇸⚽️
The ultimate chance to “change the way how the world sees US Soccer.”
… and the USMNT gave us the worst ever performance in the World Cup. At home. In front of millions of passionate Americans.
(0-1) (1-1) (1-2) (1-3) (1-4)
Eight. Years. Wasted.
Not even surprised. Just disappointed. With everyone. “Captain America” Pulisic. Stop calling him that. Weston, Adams. Jedi. Ream. Richard’s. Players, staff, coaches, corporate.
It was our chance and we absolutely wasted it. Thank you, USMNT. For this waste of a World Cup at home🏆⚽️
Going forward, I will not be further supporting this team as much. Including attending games, watching the USMNT, buying the jerseys. I’m just disgusted with this team and so should any REAL USMNT soccer fanatic.
I lost my joy with this team.
@Freebaldin@Rheamund_ Bro back to back knockouts from both my teams broke me. But the funny this is op said he’d lose his support for the USMNT. That’s not even a possibility for us Colombians. We’ll follow our team until the end. So I’m applying that same logic to the US. I’m not going anywhere
@Rheamund_ Ive been following since 2002. And I have NEVER seen this type of support. Going to the game in Seattle brought tears to my eyes and seeing different bars packed was a dream come true. I spoke to my friends and we are doubling down to keep momentum and inspire the next generation
- No respetaron el himno nacional de sus rivales.
- Agredieron a hinchas Ecuatorianos.
- Agredieron a hinchas Colombianos.
- Agredieron a periodistas.
- Gritaban "olee" desde el inicio del partido.
- Un padre de familia fue asesinado frente a sus dos hijas.
- Carteles Mexicanos amenazando a Ecuatorianos
- Gritan "puto" al portero todo el partido
Hoy el fútbol es mucho más justo. Adiós, México del Mundial.
LIVE in Los Angeles. People with Mexico Flags shake passing vehicles, rocking them back and forth, after Mexico loses in the FIFA World Cup
Mexico is now eliminated from the FIFA World Cup and since Mexicans make up the majority of LA now, they are not taking it well
You would think in America you would see American Flags but no, in California is overwhelming foreigners from Mexico
Hispanic now make up 41% of California’s population. Whites are only 32%
In Los Angeles they are over 50%
Happy 250th Birthday America! 🎉 Tokyo is celebrating with you tonight with beautiful fireworks lighting up the bay and Rainbow Bridge plus Tokyo Tower glowing red white and blue!
It makes me so happy as a Japanese person to see this warm friendship. Real allies celebrate together like this.
God bless the USA and God bless Japan 🇺🇸🤝🇯🇵
🇺🇸 AMAZING! Japan just did a whole FIREWORKS SHOW celebrating America’s birthday today, as it’s now July 4 in Tokyo
This is what a REAL ally looks like.
Unlike most of our European “allies”
God bless America, and God bless Japan! 🇺🇸🤝🇯🇵
