@jon_d_doe I can relate. I’m younger than you, but I’ve been there.
Seek the Kingdom first, become a better man, and remember, positioning matters. What kind of woman do you want? Then become the kind of man she’d want.
Don’t just chase her. Build yourself. Ire o.
This really touched me.
I have gotten her account number.
She owes a total of N576,500.
But please read more from her. I appeal to you to come to her aid 🙏.
Sir, I read most of the comments. I thought you would not even open my message because my account is not verified, but I still decided to write the messages last night while I was crying. After I sent the message, I felt relieved, even though I doubted you would read it.
Most people commented that my mom was blinded by love, that's why they went ahead and got married even though they know their genotype.
The thing is that my mom didn't go to school and she has no idea of what it means but my dad is an educated person.
My aunt, who is my mom's elder sister, asked him what his genotype was, but he lied, saying that he had checked it and that it was okay. My aunt believed him because he was working in a pharmacy and was also a lab technician at the time, so she didn't ask further.
It was after I was born that my mom found out. I was crying all day in pain when a crisis arose, and I was taken to the hospital. That's when the doctor told my mom that I am SS. She didn't understand what he was saying because she had no knowledge about it.
The doctor explained everything to her, and she initially decided to end the marriage. However, my dad told her that, together with the doctor, they convinced her that the remaining children she would give birth to would not have the condition. She accepted because she had no knowledge of how it works.
The second and third born are SS, which makes us three SS and 4 As. We are seven children all together my mom suffered till tomorrow, my dad decided not to care for her and he maltreated her and turned her into a maid.
Me and my siblings were abused by our dad in the name of discipline, he did all things to get rid of us. He beat us every minute, we can't be happy at home if he was around, any little mistakes we did he will beat us.
Whenever any of us was sick, we use to hide because he will beat our mom just because he doesn't want to spend money for hospital bills. We hide in pains except if it's out of control that's when he will find out the one of us was sick.
Though now I am the only one remaining out of the SS, two have passed away in the space of five months. My junior brother died because he was not treated on time, as our dad refused to come home.
My mom called him and told him that this boy's situation is getting worse. She asked him to tell her where his file is so she could take him to the hospital. But he replied, 'If you are ready to take him to the hospital, you don't need to look for the file. The child is yours. If he survives, he survives for you, not me.'
My mom had no choice. She was looking for the file to make things easier, so she would not need to buy the file before they treat him. Buying it takes a lot of time.
She took him to the hospital like that, he was put on emergency while she was running to buy medication they wrote for her,
On getting back, my brother gave up.
The saddest part that morning on the day he died, he was thrown out of the house by my dad, he beat him and pushed him outside to go and lay down that he shouldn't sleep on the couch not knowing that's the last time he would see the boy.
My brother died on April 16 2024 and my sister September 19 2024. Since then, my dad gave up on me. He told me I will soon go, and I should stop wasting my time praying. Whether I pray or not, I will still go.
If I am not asking my dad for money, I will have peace. That's why I stopped and am working just to survive. Please, my mom did nothing wrong; she is also a victim and she tried her best.
End.
A sad story from my DM.
Good evening sir
How is your family?
I really appreciate the advice and opportunities you bring on space; may God continue to bless and guide you.
Whenever you give ladies opportunities to post their pictures, tribe, and Genotype, I do feel scared and nervous at the same time.
I don't really have the courage to post mine because I feel nobody would want to come close if they know that I am SS, even if someone chooses to chat me, they'll be acting rude like they are trying to help my life just because I am SS.
I gathered all the courage I have to post my picture even though I doubted, but I still posted it.
I have come across this opportunity on different spaces and pages. Sometimes, I do participate in posting my pictures but whenever I am asked my Genotype, I feel restless because I know it's not going to work out.
I posted my picture yesterday and I am relieved because nobody came to my DM.
My background is not something to boast about; and being SS again, it drained everything.
It's not that I am ashamed of myself; I am proud of myself. It's just that people do not understand. They criticize without looking back, and it's draining me, making me feel depressed. They forget that nobody chooses the life they are living today.
I am just unlucky but I still bless God for keeping me till now. I am not a lazy person, I hustle different kinds of work just to buy my medication.
My dad is wealthy enough to take care of my needs, but he doesn't regard me as someone he will look up to because I am SS.
So he will say he can't invest where he knows very well that he will gain nothing. I didn't choose this life, but I have to keep pushing.
A lot of unpaid loans, all just because I want to keep living, but it's not easy. Whenever you said men shouldn't choose a lady that will drain them, I always feel I am part of those people, though I have never asked any man for help. I make sure to take care of my problems myself; sometimes it's not easy.
I do choose to be dead sometimes and everything will end on the other side, I seriously want to live and make it in life to show my dad and people who criticize me that I am capable.
End.
@afrisagacity Elections are not won on SM. The day you obingoes realise that, the better for you. Like she stated here, you Candidate will lose the 2023 elections except you do the things stated here. Making excuses will not change what is coming
I’m an ardent supporter of Peter Obi, but after serious reflection, I hereby withdraw my support. This decision stems from a shocking revelation that is unbecoming of a man of his calibre. I have now realized that I have been supporting the wrong man all these years. Here is the revelation: I was reliably informed that Peter Obi is too frugal, too accountable, and too focused on production over consumption. This level of discipline is simply unacceptable in Nigerian politics. Going forward, I will be supporting the man who tripled the poverty rate and believes a bag of rice is economic policy. Goodbye, Peter Obi.
"We have platformed."
And that right there is where your problem starts. You still believe that YOU platformed Peller and his fellow creatures of the Nigerian brainrot swamp. Let me break the news to you:
THE. ALGORITHMS. ARE. BLACK. BOXES.
You do NOT know what goes into them and how they work. That story you heard that "the algorithm only shows you more of what you engage with" is a completely false statement, right up there with "crypto is decentralised and outside the state's control."
People have actually tried to take the platforms to court to open up their algorithms to public scrutiny, and the US court ruling which you can Google and read by yourself said that THE ALGORITHMS ARE PROPRIETARY. In other words, they are protected by IP law and you legally are not allowed to know how they actually work!
You did not platform any of these people! White guys in Silicon Valley did! You are not the one "making stupid people famous". Larry Ellison, Elon Musk, Sergey Brin and Mark Zuckerberg are the ones deciding who becomes famous in your society.
That is exactly why western social media platforms are banned in China and Russia - they want to retain the power to determine their own internal conversation. And by the way, China was accused of using TikTok to engineer US society the same way, which is why TikTok USA was forced to sell a controlling stake to Larry Ellison.
Stop misdiagnosing your problem, which is lack of sovereignty. "Nigerians are stupid and like stupid things" is not an intelligent explanation of how the world works! Only a simple minded person takes everything at face value even when superior information is so readily available.
I REMEMBERED ONE DAY THAT I ENDED THE CALL ON MY HUSBAND WHEN WE WERE STILL DATING 🙆
Omoh, that day was warrrr 😂😂😂
Let me give you the full gist properly because I know some of you will want it.
That day, my husband and I were in our sweet love mode since morning. We had been calling ourselves back and forth and I think we even went out together.
But something happened where we went to and we came back with a quarrel.
He went to his house and I came back to my father’s house angry.
And honestly, I felt he offended me that day.
So immediately I got home, I called him again.
As an angry woman, I wanted to show myself small 😭
We started talking again on the phone but there was still no headway, no reconciliation at all.
Out of anger, I ended the call on him.
Two seconds later, he called back.
Before I picked that call, I was already smiling sheepishly inside my heart 😂 I felt he was calling back to beg me.
But brothers and sisters, shock swallowed me.
My husband who knows how to apologize when he is wrong seriously scolded me that day.
He asked me why I ended the call on him when we were still having a conversation, he said it was disrespectful.
Omoh, I saw real anger that day 😂
Now, while all this was happening, my mom had been listening quietly.
When I entered the room angrily and slammed the door, she came to meet me and said something I have never forgotten.
She told me that no matter how angry I get, I should never walk out on my husband or cut a conversation halfway in anger.
She said disagreement is normal, but disrespect should never become the response.
And honestly, that lesson stayed with me.
Women, men value respect more than many of us realize.
If you disrespect a man, you send a very wrong signal to him.
I know women value respect too, but with men, it touches something deeper. I know what I’m saying.
And no, this is not me trying to shield men or put all the responsibility on women.
But my mom told me something else that day, she said a woman sets the atmosphere of her home.
Women are emotionally sensitive and naturally wiser in handling certain situations and I honestly believe it is a God given ability.
The Bible even says that through wisdom, a woman builds her home.
You have the capacity to calm situations better,
and you know how to handle things with softness and wisdom.
That does not make you weak, rather it makes you powerful.
Movies have normalized unhealthy reactions in relationships. Insults, slaps, shutting people out, embarrassing each other publicly.
But maturity is learning how to communicate even when you are upset.
This applies to both the man and the woman.
Nobody should tolerate abuse or rubbish, but there is a difference between setting boundaries and reacting with disrespect.
Love him enough not to disrespect him, and men too, love her enough to handle her with patience and understanding.
Sometimes, it’s not even the disagreement that damages relationships, It is the way people handle the disagreement.
Love speaks with wisdom, even in anger.
@arinzecajet001 This made me question the criteria used in appointing him as presidential spokesman, but then I realized he’s not the exception, he’s a reflection of what many in power have become today: empty minds driven by greed, servants of their stomachs rather than servants of the nation.
Why I made this witty summary of that situation is simply because of how much risk both parties took.
Why couldn't the woman get herself to the hospital?
Was she expecting a saviour or what?
Why couldn't that man go about his day without stopping for a stranger?
frankly speaking, no one is out of your league, they're just outside your comfort class.
people usually talk about leagues as if there’s a universal grading system for attractiveness, success, worth or even compatibility.
but there isn't. what one person finds intimidating, another finds ordinary. what one person finds beautiful, another barely notices.
“leagues” are just social stories we tell ourselves, to cope.
most of us date what feels familiar, familiar personalities, familiar lifestyles, familiar emotional dynamics.
when someone feels “too good” or “too different,” it creates discomfort, not because they’re above you, but because they don’t fit your normal pattern.
comfort class is about environment, not value
people grow up in different emotional, social, and financial environments that becomes their 'comfort class.'
you’re used to a certain, style of affection,
way of communicating, lifestyle. when you meet someone whose life or behavior sits outside that, it can feel like they’re 'out of your league', when really, they’re just outside what you’re used to navigating.
whenever you don’t feel comfortable in a certain space, be it wealthier, more educated, more emotionally regulated, more confident, more experienced, you interpret that discomfort as inadequacy. but it’s not inadequacy, it's unfamiliarity.
Gospel According to St. John DOE. ♥️👏
Much has been said here... There are unions that feel like gardens where two people plant, water, grow, and rise shoulder to shoulder... This is the most beautiful type of union.
I know many of you will say this is not a standard. But try to marry someone who understands your reality. Someone whose story can sit beside yours without belittling it.
Someone who respects WHERE YOU’RE COMING FROM and doesn’t weaponize where he’s going.
If you want peace, choose COMPATIBILITY before CAPACITY. If you want freedom, choose MUTUAL RESPECT before MATERIAL COMFORT.
And like Agba said, if you must love upward... Love a man whose success still leaves room for your wings to fly.
A marriage where you lose yourself is not a blessing... it’s a polite tragedy wrapped in luxury.
Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko’s marriage has hit a storm , a reminder that wealth and fame don’t shield anyone from emotional chaos.
Regina says she’s endured abuse and control. Ned denies it, blaming the crisis on alleged substance issues and violence from her end. Both sides have shown pain and pride in equal measure.
This isn’t just gossip; it’s a clash of power, age, ego, and emotional exhaustion. A woman trying to reclaim her voice and a man trying to defend his image.
Truth is both regina and Ned maybe wrong, their story should be a lesson to us.
Don’t mistake being chosen for being valued
Don’t confuse attention for respect.
And don’t sell your peace for illusion of a good life .
People scream “age is just a number, age doesn’t matter. But when age becomes a power gap, then age begins to matter.
May truth, not public opinion, decide this story.
When Shank said, “we start our lives so late in Nigeria”, I completely understood him. It’s because he’s seen another world; one that makes you realize how much more you could’ve achieved earlier if you’d simply had an enabling environment. That’s what exposure does: it changes your frame of reference.
Honestly, anyone earning a decent income shouldn’t just get comfortable. Strive for exposure. It does something to your life that you can’t measure in money. Exposure is also a confidence booster.
In my workspace, I’m the only guy among five young ladies—average age, 25. Each speaks at least three languages (one speaks four, another five!). One runs a thriving YouTube channel, another owns a kennel, another is a professional dancer. And they are all lawyers. I really admire them. When they recently found out my age, one of them innocently asked, “What have you been doing?”😂 I couldn’t even be mad. I just laughed, because I wish I’d known certain things earlier.
Still, I’m thankful. Thankful that now I know better, and that it’s a basic requirement for my kids to speak fluently other languages asides Yoruba and English, have hobbies and be consistently encouraged, possess incredible agency.
Because these are the things that make life truly livable.
If you have the means, invest in exposure. Do it often. The compounding effect will shock you.
