We typically want to reinvent the wheel and be “Authentic”…
…but most of the time, doing what already works is a better choice.
To me personally, the design of this thumbnail looks awful, but it simply WORKS.
It has been tested 10s if not 100s of times on YouTube and the video ALWAYS stands out.
It’s not copying, but rather just using what works.
And to be honest, the creator you “stole” it from most likely also got that idea from another creator.
Another banger… 179K views.
Simple strategy + the right format.
This shows that shorter videos can still perform really well.
You don’t always need to create 10-hour courses to reach the masses.
Sounds too simple, but it works.
Just put more effort into the intro…
We created this one, and it was so worth it…
…we’re pushing 1 MILLION views, and 105% of people watched the intro.
Which means people actually went back to watch it again…
…that leads to YouTube pushing it to more people because of high viewer satisfaction.
Crazy.
800% increase in Views on this Educational Channel…
…and it wasn’t Value provided in the videos or the editing quality that was different…
…or that we posted in more Volume.
NO.
It was Outlier research and the strategy we put in place.
First I researched WHAT videos performed well for others…
…and after a few hours it was so obvious.
14/32 top performers were 45+ minutes.
So without wasting any time I looked for Outliers that fit that criteria.
This is where I came across a video that grabbed my attention.
“How I'd Start a 1-Person AI Business with Claude AI in 30 Days”.
Strong…Punchy…and it fit the requirements for a winner in our Niche.
Following that strategy, we implemented many things including:
- subhooks
- better intro
- proven packaging
- etc…
We got ourselves the first winner.
868k views on a 4 hour course.
Engagement Machine.
This was just one of the things we implemented...
...since then 8 out of 10 were Outliers.
Crazy.

Brand has 3 Components👇
Quantity - repeating what you said until someone ties your face to some message
Quality - such a good articulation of someones problems that they subconsciously tie your face to the message
...or Both, this is what creates a GREAT Positive Branding
Day 13)
3 Characteristics Your Editing Should Have:
1.Clarity
2.Retention
3.Simplicity
The goal isn’t to have the flashiest edit…
It’s to create the clearest education.
Day 12: YouTube CTA Strategy
Place your CTA at 30–50% of the video.
Early = kills retention.
Late = no one sees it.
30-50% = gets seen and keeps them watching.
Simple fix. Big impact.
Day 3)
I realized 99% of great Educational YouTube videos have this in Common:
1. Promise (what you are delivering)
2. Proof (why should they listen)
3. Plan (what to do next)
Strategy by @AlexHormozi that is layed out perfectly for getting right views and link clicks.
Day 2)
Building a YouTube Brand:
Content Value > Hooks, Titles, Thumbnails
Building it Faster (in order of importance):
1. Catchy Thumbnail
2. Meaningful Title
3. Short (8 - 10 second) Hook
4. Content Value
And doing it consistently...
