This Lakers / LeBron news is just proof that LeBron saves every franchise he touches.
First he saved the Cavs, then the Heat, then the Cavs again, and now the Lakers.
It’s really insane how his presence on and off the court can stabilize an entire organization.
Legendary career 🔥
- No championships
- Ruined the Thunder Superteam
- Ruined the Rockets Superteam
- Ruined the Lakers Superteam
- Ruined the Clippers Superteam
- Never learned how to shoot a basketball
- Improved steadily at turning over the ball more
LeBron’s fanbase loses supporters WITHOUT the Lakers being part of his career.
The Lakers fanbase loses NOTHING without LeBron joining the team.
Bron may be bigger than 28 teams himself, but comparing him to the Lakers brand is laughable.
I was in Brooklyn this morning and I heard his agency is pushing hard for him to end up in LA, with interest in either team.
Just something to monitor…
Kuminga Update: Multiple sources are now CONFIRMING the Lakers and Hawks are on the 1 yard line of a trade that would send Jonathan Kuminga to LA.
The deal is done.
I can confirm the team is the Los Angeles Lakers.
Sources tell me they invited Simmons to camp but are reluctant to offer him a full time roster spot before preseason.
So it seems a lot of people think the Lakers got worse this summer:
Added -
- Walker Kessler (best free agent in 2026 class by far
- Quentin Grimes (Scorer, shooter, defensive upside)
- Sandro Mamu (young, versatile, elite feel for the game, tall ball handler)
- Colin Sexton (twitchy, scorer, effort at poa)
- Kevin Looney (best rebounding big per 36 in nba)
- Matisse Thybulle and Zaire Williams (both elite buy low defensive wings)
- Jaden Hardy (elite 3rd string guard)
Lost -
- LeBron
- Rui
- Smart
- Kennard
- Hayes
- Ayton
Only thing is for all those guys they lost (minus LeBron), the same people who are hating on the Lakers this summer also HATED all those players and called them trash every day online.
So essentially people think the Lakers got worse but losing players who suck and replacing them with consensus way better players? Make it make sense.
