@jesperbkk Foreigners can be viewed as higher-risk and some landlords simply don't want to deal with it. Probably had a bad experience before. It's nothing about you being Danish
As a brand owner, if a customer orders, they should get it delivered successfully - no exceptions. If it's stolen, the brand should send a free replacement and work with the shipping company to resolve this.
Why should a customer, who is spending their hard-earned money have to deal with this? People are busy with their lives, problems etc. Brands (especially as big as BestBuy) have the resources to deal with logistics companies.
Thailand heavily benefited from trading with 'rich economies' - it's called trade agreements. This is a fact, not an opinion.
And museum prices you're referring to is about tourists (& even tax-paying expats) paying 5-10x the entry price. I never complain about it as it's not significant, but you're also forgetting that Thailand gets a lot of tourists from 'poor economies'. Furthermore, this is also a missed opportunity for Thailand to show it's beautiful & rich historical culture to people.
Ultimately, Thailand should do what is best for its people. But let's not ignore facts.
@MehtabKarta Hotels: 50/50. Often times yeah due free upgrades etc via Hotel loyalty programs that come with Amex Platinum.
Airlines: CC Pts have a huge impact on what airlines I fly with
False statements (respectfully):
- Visa Runs become a part time job - this is because you haven't solved it via a proper visa. It's easier than ever.
-Cash-pay only at good hospital - A ton of insurance cover the top hospitals.
- Most expats are running from something - perhaps your experience/circle, not true for a lot of others. In any city, your social circle has a strong impact on the quality of your life.
The others are heavily dependent from person to person. First time I was like you, didn't really like it long-term and now I absolutely love it.
@rawknuckle 90% of a person's look in a suit is about proper tailoring and your body physique, the rest is about the finer details. Instead of wasting $10k on Zegna, fly to Thailand, get several custom-tailored, very high quality suits made of any material you want at $600-$1k+/suit.
@seftonhanley@MandalaySamui A ton of countries around the world (including Australia) give tax benefits to EV buyers whether they are Chinese or from other countries. So in that case based on your statement, it would mean Australia is also politically motivated to help Chinese?
Lanham Act (specifically Section 43(a), 15 U.S.C. ยง 1125(a)).
While the Lanham Act is famous for trademark infringement, Section 43(a) specifically covers false advertising. It is the exact tool commercial businesses use when a competitor plays dirty by fabricating product benefits, lying about efficacy, or misrepresenting facts, creating an unlevel playing field for companies trying to stay strictly compliant.
@billybinion Why not let him live how he wants to? The world should be thanking him for sacrificing himself to provide a lot of valuable data to humanity, completely for free while he spends millions yearly (granted, he does make money off of this but the data is free anyways).
