@xwanyex our country's multicultural demographics represent opportunity & freedom. cities are diverse because there is/was more opportunity. as cities become too expensive, immigrant communities look elsewhere. there is no conspiracy.
I was just talking about this. Protests have always been unpopular with Americans. Yet, when you’re taught about protests in school or when they’re covered in popular media, they’re treated as quintessentially American and good.
If the fact that they were unpopular at the time is mentioned, then it’s in a way that assures the reader/viewer that those people were simply wrong and good people don’t think that anymore. (Whether decades of narrative control similar to what the listener is currently experiencing is at least partly responsible for that fact is never explored).
