@nonigee10@GuemmiRaya21331@rinsverse That's... the perfect timing, actually. Going by when seasons 1 and 2 were released anyway, with a 1 and a half year gap in between seasons
@cowboyreve@Jonny1689046 Elfman, Loke, and Freed had plenty of potential and suffered egregious character assassination and/or reverted to having 0 depth.
If your argument is that "FT is misogynistic" but is only predicated on there existing women who's characterisation fell off, that's just fallacious.
@DelaniReid i'm not even engaging with any of that or reading the original post because calling FT's female characters' writing "bare minimum" is one of the wildest takes I've heard in a while and lowkey I don't need to read the rest. Is it perfect? No, but it clears literally 90% of shonen
@DelaniReid@HoodDekuThe31st It's an unbelievable exaggeration from them, but let's not pretend like it doesn't HEAVILY weigh the series down (primarily with Lucy, idm it with Erza or anyone else bc most of the time the intentionality/appeal behind the fanservice doesn't interfere with or negate the writing)
