That #DoctorWho finale was an utter mess. Total failure to live up to the hype of bringing back the Rani and Omega, not paying off Susan's cameo and spending half the episode on an irrelevant baby. That was the poorest of poor writing - just bad in every way.
After Trump’s disgraceful bullying of Zelensky today, aided and abetted by sidekick Vance, why would we want Trump to pay a state visit to the UK? Can the invitation letter be withdrawn?
The best response to a bully is to stand up to them. The best thing for Europe and the UK to do is to step up, fund our security properly ( not with Treasury tricks and spin) and be prepared to use all means possible to ensure Putin fails in Ukraine. 1/2
Introduced some friends to the 1999 Alice in Wonderland TV film. Having seen it so many times, I didn't quite anticipate how weird they thought it was. Safe to say, I found their reactions very amusing
At a time of massive net immigration (like now) GDP per head probably tells a better story than overall GDP headline stats. GDP per head fell 0.7% in 2023, which means by end of last year it was lower not just than end-2022 but lower than end-2021. That’s the real economic albatross around Tory necks come the election.
FUNGUS IN SPACE!!! 🍄🚀
Equal parts cosmic horror and nature being metal, let's talk about the lichen that grew on the OUTSIDE of the International Space Station!
Get your tea and curl up, because I PROMISE you wanna hear about these fungal cosmonauts 🧑🚀

Interesting read. According to the article, there is enough heat in UK sewage and wastewater to heat up to 1.6 million homes. That's a hefty potential source of energy https://t.co/FbGU4A1ErF

All I want for Christmas is a new max #Wind generation record 🎅🎄
Today (21 December), wind generated a new high of 21.8GW electricity ⚡ between 8:00-8:30, providing 56% of the generation mix. This breaks the previous record set in January.
We are still waiting for all the data to come through, so this figure might be adjusted slightly.
