Finished the audio version of The Only Plane in the Sky. It's a tapestry of stories, experiences, and emotions from 9/11. A personal narration of that day, individually recounted, collectively shared. Moments big and small, exhilarating and heart-wrenching. Thank you, @vermontgmg
In March 2021, former Wall Street Journal writer @NKingofDC embarked on a walk of 330 miles, from his home in Washington, D.C., to New York City. He retraced his steps with “Sunday Morning,” and talked about the America he found along the way. https://t.co/SgnTwJuUuu
As I did for the first season, I chatted with series masterminds Christopher Storer and Josh Senior to discuss the season two soundtrack of THE BEAR. We go deep on Hornsby, "Strange Currencies," Counting Crows (again!), and about a dozen other songs. https://t.co/3RP0ss31zv
Wow. An incredible literary voice. With many themes in his novels, I appreciated how McCarthy made the reader engage with the essence of man, his values and faults, relationship to others, nature, the moral order, and God.
BREAKING NEWS: Cormac McCarthy, a preeminent voice in American literature over the better part of the past half-century, died today at his home in Santa Fe, N.M., his publisher, Knopf, confirmed. He was 89. Full obit to follow.
Happy @JasonIsbell album release day to all who celebrate! And if not familiar, carve out some time soon for some excellent storytelling, songwriting and one of the best bands making music today. You won’t regret it. 🎸 🥁🎻🎹📓 🤘
This is a helpful article from @washingtoninst on the liturgical rhythms of Maundy Thursday and the relevance for today:
"...as participants in the present moment rather than as spectators at a past event they missed..."

Hi Mr. @JasonIsbell I just wanted to express and thank you for how much your music means to me and to my girlfriend @CrystalGimesh Most days I find myself humming one of your songs. I think you are the Springsteen of the South. That’s the highest compliment I could possibly give.
@RollingStone@JasonIsbell Will power is in the crucible and it’s becoming more difficult to dodge listening to the single releases leading up to Isbell’s new album.
Just weeks ago, the pastor of Covenant Presbyterian (and father of one of the children killed yesterday) preached on Jesus as Death’s Conqueror, even as He wept before the tomb of Lazarus.
Pray for this family and for this church. God, be near.
One of today’s most engaging storytellers (and song writers and guitarists) becomes the subject of the story told. No doubt the high road will lead home for this documentary. Congrats @JasonIsbell and @samjones

@kellymccartneyx @JasonIsbell This is why I’m holding out on listening to the single releases. It’s a waiting game until June 9th to experience the album in full.
