@rajsinghchohan Yep and reintegrate Salah as part of the front two with Frimpong as an option at RB and this team solves a lot of our issues this season
@lfcJ7_ He’s sacrificed creativity for defensive stability. And rightly so, we’re away at a strong side. Bring on Wirtz and Bradley later in the game to take more of a risk to try and win.
But considering our issues this season have been mainly defensive, this is a good performance.
@Jabzakawhen@smtm_LFC I agree I think the players are more to blame, way too many errors and not doing the basics right. Saying that I do think some responsibility for that falls on the coaching staff. Getting your players in the right frame of mind and managing confidence is part of coaching.
@smtm_LFC Give him time I say. He’s shown he’s got what it takes, and I think we owe him some time to turn it around.
I hate how fickle and short sighted football is. I don’t think anyone could come in and turn it around AND achieve long-term success. He’s still the right man for both imo
@lfcgerrard17@Tgarratt10 He didn’t. He had a great season, arguably the best prem season of any Liverpool player, but we had 4 players in the PFA TOTY and wouldn’t have won it without those (or Slot for that matter)
@lfcgerrard17@Tgarratt10 Did you watch the full clip? He used his time at Chelsea and with Egypt to make a point about it being a team game. You need your teammates and manager to succeed, and Liverpool have given him a platform to achieve greatness. He owes the club just as much as the club owes him.
@BackseatsmanLFC@DylanR777 He was essentially saying every great player needs great teammates and a great manager. Liverpool provided a platform for him to achieve great things, something he hasn’t been able to do with weaker teams (obviously). He’s right
@AnythingLFC_ It’s definitely not been as bad as the results show. We’ve created more than enough to win matches. But defensively we’ve been shocking and there’s no excuse for that
@Scaife51 Endo’s shite tbf. Agree on Chiesa though, at least he puts effort in and looks lively. Always thrown on in difficult situations, needs a few starts
@TheAnfieldWrap I just don’t expect much from this season anymore. Hope Slot can fix it and I’m willing to give him time to do that.
Way too much short-termism in football nowadays
@AnfieldEdition Proved his ability last season and heavily backed in the summer. I just don’t see a world where FSG think it’s the right decision to bring someone else in at the moment.
The league is gone, adjust expectations, treat this as a transition season.
There’s no way Slot doesn’t at least get the weekend. The club have heavily backed him I just don’t see a world where they sack him just yet.
All the E-reds out in force though I see
Why Liverpool are struggling with their build-up this season, and what has changed vs last season.
