I work with another practicing TDD engineer, who is adamant that we use a particular toolchain with an MCU simulator. Does TDD for Embedded C require a processor simulator?

It's not required but could be helpful in stages 3 and 4.

@jangray @matthewvenn If #tinytapeout had this IO architecture you should be able to have a much “faster” super slow serial FPGA 😅 It could be more beneficial to the designs than having more die area.

@jangray @matthewvenn There could be one configuration flop per design that’s on the scan chain. The configuration flop would drive all the pass-gates to connect that design to the IO.
