Congrats to the French Creek Hellbenders! They won the Section 1 title and head to state tourney on Monday. The team is made up of Meadville and Saegertown players and the head coach is Brandon Crum. They’ve outscored opponents 82-13 in 6 games.

@Anthony_Pugh2 @byanymeansbball That’s 1v1 at half speed. Layup lines are regular getting criticized for some unknown reason. If you’re using the warmup to “prepare for battle,” it’s already lost. Practice prepares you for the battle, warmup is to, quite literally, warmup.

@DevonPrepBBall began the 2026 @PIAASports 4A Boys’ State Championship with a record of 5-18 and goes on to win the title. Hopefully, all the social media outcry of criticizing a team’s win-loss record prior to making the postseason are put to bed in future seasons.

@JohnCarrier42 I think about this often when our players are playing too fast (a.k.a panicking) and either turnovers are happening or the offense can’t get In rhythm. They’re making quick (.5) decisions, but they’re usually out of desperation. A rhythmic blend of .5 - 3 is optimal.
