@Suggum_Dirt I would do this with a clean quad mesh and cards for the silhouette-breaks, used creatively you could achieve a very similar look, I'm sure
@SyphoticART Too right it is - there will always be humans creating though, you just have to weed through the shit a little - there will be a renaissance of meaningful art I'm sure!
I can imagine all sorts of puzzles involving this one, sort of like the static firing portal gun from Portal 1 - you'd have to be creative with your placement of this huge Portal Gun, maybe it would have been planted in a fixed location in the chamber and you had to rotate it?
I suspect we're approaching a time where if you want to protect creative work, it has to be something that can't be digitized. AI has made is so that creative works speed run through the lifecycle from cool to cliche in a matter of months. This contributes to our cultural stagnation, making it hard for real creators to produce something with meaningful, lasting effects on other real creators. Everything becomes a meme, which is to say meaningless and trite.
After capturing over 100 hours worth of exposures, I'm pleased to share my latest "Deep Field" image, containing THOUSANDS of galaxies and a brand-new supernova that just kicked off ~2 weeks ago!
Timelapse showing the supernova, prints, and more details in the thread 👇
I wonder how this thing is rendering, I imagine the entire base UI is rendering at all times onto a cheap 3D canvas, which runs all of these neat depth effects.
Not to be dramatic, but watching the original theatrical cut of Star Wars in IMAX 70mm might actually be the greatest moviegoing experience of all time
The AGI I imagined was an Einstein-level intellect backed by massive compute, curing diseases, advancing science exponentially, and kicking off a whole new era for humanity.
Instead, people see an AI messing around in Blender, computer use, or booking a haircut appointment and call it AGI.
Respect to Jensen, but his business depends on selling hardware to every AI company out there, so of course he has to play along with the AGI marketing hype.
it shouldn't only matter if actors lose their jobs. think of the graphic designers, the set designers, vfx, makeup, all the people directors often take for granted, why do their jobs not matter to you?
