When Metropolitan Police officer Wayne Couzens kidnapped and murdered Sarah Everard, Nigel Farage released a five-minute video urging people not to attack men or the police.
Today, in response to the murder of Henry Nowak, he called for "pure cold rage."
🚨 WATCH: Nigel Farage says the bodycam footage of Henry Nowak is “proof of two tier policing”
“The rights and privileges of white people matter less than those of ethnic minorities”
@themakeupgoblin@V_M_B__@notanerable Do you think we don't have fans? We like to complain to bond. It was people having a laugh and as always it's being turned into a massive debate
British politics in a nutshell
Step 1: invent or exaggerate a problem
Step 2: blame migrants, the poor, students, minorities or anyone with the least power
Step 3: promise action
Step 4: forget you’ve already had 14 years to act
Step 5: Create a new party & Repeat
Reform UK in Wakefield are cutting help for parents and children left right and centre.
First they scrapped the Corporate Parenting Committee Scrapped, which is an important tool for the protection of vulnerable children. Now they have removed £1.3m from a uniform voucher scheme that was fully funded.

@JsonWickster@ShatteredSFW So a broader role like a civil service contractor or general civil servant can even accidentally note confidential info, which is an offence under the GRA to disclose in official capacity, meaning it's safer to just handle everything on the restricted line
@JsonWickster@ShatteredSFW Restrictions can limit standard services so idk why people are acting like it's a privilege, the only thing is the wait times but if they put people with complex records onto standard it'd compound the wait even more. Contractors and general staff can look up info on standard.
@JsonWickster@ShatteredSFW The current system can't handle that, afaik that's the reason. It's regrettable and just makes people publish headlines like this that instead of targeting outdated systems and bad actors it's targeting the people who would be victims of it should it be taken away
@JsonWickster@ShatteredSFW But you're right about the lack of modernisation as far as I know. The current systems wouldn't be able to segregate that information in accordance with the GRA without PD1. It's worked this way for a while for the 10k or so GRC holders. The concerning bit is the framing
@JsonWickster@ShatteredSFW A GRC does yes, because standard tax agents can't view PD1 records, meaning there's an extra layer of work to the documents (similar to any other extra sensitive info). It's only accessible to PD1, as if it was on the main line it could be leaked.
@loboboss57@MountainGenera Vigilance can be interpreted as avoiding its use when someone deems it unnecessary or harmful, like risking the employment of others. The objection comes from interpretation of the text as warning about its dangers, meaning it's valid.
PD1 calls can only be taken by people working in the hmrc offices (ie not WFH), it's sensitive info.
If there was no risk that a transphobe would write down someone's current name, deadname, and home address, and disperse it online, there'd be no need for trans ppl to use PD1
@JsonWickster@ShatteredSFW they have access for anything related to their restricted documents for this reason, most interactions with people who have a GRC will be the same as the average person phoning up. it's when you need to unseal that info afaik.
@Garethhello@MeowsAllison@OswinOswald223@MayBritt44 The bait is kind of nasty. I'm trying to give the author the benefit of the doubt but it feels like they've wilfully twisted what actually happens. Most trans people haven't even got a GRC. Afaik it's about 10,000.
