This entire holiday being based around a folklore & mythology is fascinating. The groundhog doesn’t talk, but we trust is because years ago ppl payed attention to a groundhogs behavior.
Notice how they are dressed like pilgrims & Quaker’s, like the ppl who created the holiday.. to embody the folklore.
It’s actually The same way astrology & religion works. Or those superstitions that say don’t put your purse in the floor, or don’t split the pole.
We’re all just going off of the word of people from centuries ago instead of having solid proof with our own two eyes. It really puts life into perspective for me. I think that is so fascinating.
The world functions simply bc of superstition and nothing else.
When I was in high school we had to purchase a TI-89 calculator for this math class. I remember my dad being LIVID that a calculator was over $100. 🤣🤣🤣
It took me a while, but I finally realized what triggers my toxicity. It's disrespect. I can be chill, fun, easy to get along with. I can vibe with anybody. But the second I feel disrespected, everything in me shifts. My peace goes out the window, my patience disappears, and that soft version of me turns sharp real quick. I'm self-aware enough to know I'm a good woman. I'm kind, I'm genuine, I'm understanding, and I always try to lead with love. But that's exactly why disrespect hits so deep... because I know how much grace I give before I ever lose it. When I snap, it's never random, it's a reaction. What you put in is what you get out of me. Still, I'm learning. Learning not to let people pull me out of character.
Learning that not everyone deserves a response. Learning that peace is better than proving a point. Because growth isn't about never being triggered... it's about recognizing what triggers you and protecting yourself before you get there. Know your triggers.
Guard your peace. Stay away from the people, places, and situations that force you to become someone you've worked too hard to outgrow.
i cant believe my pregnancy was so traumatic that i refused my rhogam shot knowing the risk another pregnancy would have bc i was so sure id never do tht shit again so i didn’t care.
Saw a pregnant woman on Tiktok say she was allergic TO THE BABY SHE WAS CARRYING and nearly died. Like she was allergic to the child growing inside her? It's almost like every week I find a new absolutely horrific possible side effect of pregnancy. She lives in Canada with great and free healthcare, which makes me think with sadness that if this happened to a Nigerian woman, what will be her fate 😞
