• Make a note from a template with ⌘⌥T, Vim mode on or off, or give it any chord in Settings → Keymap; inserting a template into the open note gets a bindable shortcut too (#847)
• A Markdown table that outgrew its note becomes a database in place: Convert Table to Database…
• Several vaults all called docs? Rename Vault
• Want new tasks in their own folder? Search Settings for "tasks folder" and it jumps straight to Default tasks location.
• Pick a specific folder and the field now tells you where new task files will land: inbox/Tasks/ in an Inbox vault, Tasks/ at your vault root. Same for drawings and databases
• Settings search finds every setting now, and a hit opens the tab it lives on
• Add a task from the calendar panel, or move one into another day's note, and it joins that note's ## Tasks list instead of landing at the bottom (#851)
• Preview keeps a code block inside a task under the task's text, and checking the task off strikes its words, not its code (#849)
• If a sync tool, a script or an AI agent changes the note you have open, undo no longer strips your earlier typing out from under the new text and saves the mix; the note starts a clean history, like a reopened one (#852)
• The in-app Help is one calm, readable page: guides at a comfortable width, shortcuts that lead with what they do, a keycap for every key

ZenNotes 2.28.2 is out.

It closes a rare but brutal timing window where the note you were editing could be erased with undo unable to restore it (#585): saves are now atomic and unsaved edits can never be overwritten by a stale file-watcher read.
Plus: Cloud sign-in now works on Niri/Hyprland/Sway.
