@GuidoFawkes Poppycock. Regard the taking into oublic ownership of Railtrack/Northern Rock. When a company’s liabilities outweigh its ability to meet its obligations - it can be brought under public ownership by parliamentary instrument that doesn’t even involve the chamber
@RegenerationEX@lordofintent@andyburnham Which results in the continued managed decline for every Briton not blessed with a billionaire stash and a nuclear bunker. Give it a rest with the “if”s - he’s already said he’s not nationalising even water.
@CowKeith@Derrygirl1976 Not born in the U.K. but in S. Africa. Educated in S. Africa -Rabbinic training in Israel. How’s this bloke even calling himself British let alone tryna change our free speech laws
@Lynneth1000000@andyburnham These catastrophic river immersions took place 26-28 June 2026. A fortnight after Burnham had signalled continuation of water industry plunder by private equity with the words “public control”. If he’d said ownership- the owners would have already handed over ownership to govt
@Lynneth1000000@simonmaginn She helped throw GE2019 by undermining the leader & therefore bears the blood of Tory victims on her too. With public services spiralling to destruction - there’ll be many more victims cos the Labour Party is continuing to on its neoliberal path with Burnham.
Think what Caroline Lucas was meaning though was that she required Zack Polanski to stay in his lane (ie environmentalism restricted to not challenging the Megacorporations & Billionnaire class) and that includes piping down on his anti-imperialism agenda especially Israel
My earlier tweet about this interview quoted Caroline Lucas as saying the Greens must find a less “toxic” way of criticising the Israeli government. I’ve deleted it to be more specific and accurate. She was talking about the ‘Zionism is racism’ motion, which she said “caused a lot of concern among people across the party, in the sense that there are many different versions of Zionism”, added that she hoped “if it does come back… we have a much less divisive motion” and went on to say that “it’s up to the party to decide what it’s going to discuss, but I just hope it’s done in a way that’s less toxic than it was before”:

Portes "Theres a lot of nonsense talked, including on Sky, about the spiralling welfare bill.. as a proportion of our national income.. its lower than it was 15yrs ago & its pretty much back to what it was under Thatcher.. this idea its out of control is just wrong"
Spot on!
@FXMC1957 My dads favourite locomotive. Took my son to a Thomas the Tank Engine event at York Railway Museum and instead saw my dad lose sixty years of manhood, knee pain and sight problems as he ran to Mallard like a long lost friend.
@davidicke Completely agree with her/it being suspicious of the smoothness of this shoo-in for Burnham but not gonna be retweeting it cos if you look on its bio it’s flying the Israheil flag & so is likely fishing for heretics against that dogma who it can flag for 8200 targeting.
A corporate media campaign has successfully manufactured a "defence funding gap" -- paving the way for the oligarchy to get the plebs to stump up money for arms corporations and future wars rather than spending to benefit the public.
