Onchain finance has a transparency problem that doesn't get discussed enough.

@primus_labs is building around a pretty important question:

What if financial activity could remain private without giving up the ability to verify that everything is legitimate?

Blockchains made financial activity transparent by default.

That gives us:

→ public transaction history
→ verifiable balances
→ transparent execution
→ permissionless access

But transparency becomes a different proposition when we're talking about:

→ institutional treasury
→ payroll
→ payments
→ private positions
→ large financial operations

Not every piece of financial information needs to be visible to the entire internet simply because it happens onchain.

The problem is that hiding information creates another challenge.

You still need applications to compute with it.

You still need the data to be verifiable.

You still need the underlying system to know that the computation was performed correctly.

This is the gap Primus is targeting with cryptographic verification and privacy infrastructure.

The broader vision combines zkTLS, FHE and secure execution to make data verifiable and computable without unnecessarily exposing the information itself.

That's a much bigger idea than simply “private transactions.”
