An archive node is just a node that keeps each and every block of the chain, so you can e.g. check what balance wallet X had on block Y or what state a contract had etc.
This is not the first archive on chain, but I think it's the first and only based on pebbledb as a more modern backend.

I was heavily against the first proposal brought up, but this compromise is a viable route forward for #LUNC, in my opinion. No centralized leadership, no hierarchies, still a more structured approach to offering points of contact to who need them with keeping decentralization and avoiding single points of failure.
Of course, everything like this stands and falls with the people willing to put the effort and their time in.
I have still faith that this community can manage to find the right groups of diverse opinions to fill what would be needed.
And from how I see it, this would not take any "power" or "established personal connections" away from anyone.

So, #LUNCcommunity, is this a compromise that could help the chain progress?

And just in case: Yes, I was also contributing to this with input/ideas. I am quick to say if I think some ideas are "nonsense" from my point of view, even if I do not have an alternative to present.
During the past weeks it has become clearer and clearer to me that without the willingness to compromise, there will always be "us" against "them" leading to wasting energy that could be spent better, and a back and forth of standing still. In times of unification AMAs and calls for standing together, this seems a good call.

I’m still convinced that repegging $USTC is possible. Even if you don’t believe in it, the real challenge isn’t the repeg itself, it’s the debt, likely around $3-5B.

The goal wouldn't be to magically teleport to peg, but to lay down the tracks and get the train moving. Once it’s on the right path, you find ways to pick up speed. If you set the debt aside and focus on a strong mechanism, $USTC can appreciate steadily. Debt holders, used to trading at a cent or two, would enjoy owning an asset that grows in value and provides real yield.

Besides in this market, things can move really fast, lot of progress can be achieved in few years. #LUNC just need some smart people and the community to support them.
