We know Cancer kills but we also know that early detection of cancer can save lives “5 minute of your time can help to save your life by attending screening” I am delighted to welcome “Lung Cancer screening” team to Oldham with my council and NHS colleagues. Please attend an appointment if you receive a letter or text message from your surgery. If you’re asked to attend that means you may have been identified as at risk and screening can save your life - it’s that easy !
@RFletcher76
Huge thanks to our Mayor, always prioritising the health of people in Oldham. We hope to help over 1000 Oldhamers a week with a lung cancer risk check and a CT scan if they show increased risk. We’re inviting everyone in Oldham 55yrs and older who have ever smoked.
So many of my patients worry about the effect smoking has had on them over the years. Now you can get peace of mind or at least catch something very nasty much earlier and at a stage where a cure may still be possible.
If you miss your appointment due to holiday/post etc you can still call the number on your letter and rebook your appointment. Scans in Oldham for a few months only.
Pls share
