The Malaysian-born postdoctoral fellow of #Harvard Medical School,Saw Phei Er has been a nanomedicine researcher at the Guangzhou-based Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hospital of the Sun Yat-Sen University since 2018. She invented a new nanoparticle, which is expected to block the growth of #Cancer cells. #CancerResearch. Regarding the Greater Bay Area as her home, Saw Phei Er is determined to stay in #GUANGZHOU in southern #China and pursuits new heights in nanomedicine research.

The second day of “Discover the Wonderful Guangdong” saw the travel influencers from Amenia sharing their thoughts when they saw #pomegranate, a fruit which has been taken from Amenia to China via the ancient trade route or known as the silkroad, and is now being grown in the city of Dongguan, a city during their journey to Guangdong Province in Southern China. #ChinaTravel

To further demonstrate the charm of China in particular Guangdong Province in Southern China, the department of #Culture and #tourism of Guangdong launched a promotion campaign themed “Discover the Wonderful Guangdong”, inviting 26 travel influencers from around the world to embark a journey to explore the changing landscape of the fashionable side of the Guangdong-Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area beginning from December 17, which allows the participants to immerse themselves in the charm of Lingnan culture in four cities, including Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shenzhen and Jiangmen.

#ChinaTravel China announced on Tuesday(Dec. 17th) a significant relaxation of its #visafree transit policy. The National Immigration Administration (NIA) said that the permitted stay for eligible foreign travelers has been extended from the previous 72 and 144 hours to 240 hours, or 10 days. Adeh DeSandies, an American who graduated from Stanford University , made his first visit to China upon graduation, with an aim to explore Chinese(Cantonese) cultural memories that his grandparents has brought to him. Over the past 20 years during his stay in Guangzhou city in Southern China, also an important city for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area(GBA), Adeh had run a startup which was later expanded into a small-scale tech company, providing software services for clients worldwide. Now Adeh leads the team to switch to #AI as the main business. Adeh said that he wants to develop his own #China story as the country is in the pursuit of high-quality development to unleash the new quality productive forces. #technology #MichelleLovesTech

2024 Greater Bay Area #Science Forum will open next week from Nov. 16th. The forum will feature an opening ceremony, a main forum, 14 sub-forums, and 5 events, which will be held in three regions, including Guangdong, #HongKong and #macao

As this year marks the fifth anniversary of the release of the “Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area” and the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland #China , there will be events highlighting the Macao element. #ArtificialIntelligence

A number of #Foreign enterprises gathered for the conference to share their investment experience in Guangdong. Jiang Dan, Head of External Affairs, #Tesla #China region said that in the next step, Tesla's Guangdong sales and service network will further sink into more cities and continue to expand its business layout in Guangdong, including but not limited to increasing sales stores, charging network and service centers, to further help boost auto consumption. At the same time, #Tesla will actively participate in the construction of the charging network, encrypt the layout of charging piles, and explore the installation of additional charging stations in high-frequency travel scenarios.
She said, that Tesla has built its largest destination charging station in #Shenzhen, Southern China with 188 charging piles to provide services for car owners at the same time. At present, the Tesla Supercharger can provide a range of 150 kilometers in about 5 minutes of charging. #Michellelovestech #TechNews

Wang Yi, Secretary General of Guangdong Association of Foreign Invested Enterprises, introduced that the projects and enterprises landed by foreign investment have distinctive features, “from the regional distribution, 89 enterprises on the list are concentrated in 9 cities in the Pearl River Delta in Southern #China, such as Guangzhou, #shenzhen , etc., and the remaining 11 are from 6 cities in the northeast and northwest of Guangdong, such as Shantou and Zhanjiang; from the industry sector, the manufacturing industry has the largest number of enterprises on the list, 69, and the proportion of new-generation #informationtechnology, advanced equipment manufacturing and modern service industry accounted for 80%, and more than 70% are high-tech and knowledge-intensive enterprises, generally reflecting the level of high-quality utilization of foreign investment in Guangdong Province.” #Michellelovestech #technews #globaleconomy
